Exclusif - Kevin Costner participe à un "Live Talks" avec Ron Shelton et Ron Rapoport à Los Angeles, le 3 août 2022. EXCLUSIVE - Kevin Costner appears at a Live Talks event at the Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center in LA alongside Ron Shelton, the director of their 1988 iconic baseball movie ‘Bull Durham'. The friends were at the event to promote Ron's new book, ‘The Church of Baseball: The Making of Bull Durham: Home Runs, Bad Calls, Crazy Fights, Big Swings and a Hit'. Kevin flew in from his ranch in Montana on the day especially for the talk. During the hour-long discussion with interviewer Ron Rapoport, Kevin revealed he was friends with the late LA Dodgers broadcaster, Vin Scully. Kevin said: “The first time I met him I was a young celebrity at a gold event we were playing at together. I was too nervous to say anything for three holes but then he said to me, ‘Kevvy it's your turn, give it your best.' Only my dad had called me Kevvy before so he put me at ease straight away. After that, he always called me Kevvy.” Kevin also said he'd like to appear in a superhero blockbuster. “I'd love to appear in a franchise, what a way to make money,” he said. Ron also joked that he “never got a dollar” from the estimated $ 50 million Bull Durham has grossed on a $ 9 million budget. As the audience laughed, Kevin smiled and said: “No you didn't but I got some of it!” Kevin signed several baseballs for fans at the end of the event.
